EASTERN FAÇADE IN IRAN MALL

The modern façade decorations must be creative and sustainable; simple materials and structures are no longer sufficient to meet the demands of aesthetic and high-end architecture.

Perforated metal panels are a decorative material that meets the requirements of most modern buildings. Especially when used as a building’s façade and cladding, it is a product that can combine function with aesthetic. The panels used to create these striking perforated façades are commonly made from aluminum because of the material’s lightweight and low maintenance properties, with anodizing in colors being the preferred finish.

The eastern façade of Iran Mall is an aluminum composite panel façade decorated by perforated solid aluminum panels in varying and unique arrangements. It provides a pioneering looking environment for the building of the mall. With an approximate size of 192 m (630 ft) long and 42 m (138 ft) high, this impressive composition of aluminum panels covers an area of approximately 8,065 sq.m (86,810 sq.ft).

  • Scope of WorkDesign and engineering, manufacturing, and installation of approximately 17,000 sq.m (182,985 sq.ft) of stick system façade, including 8,000 sq.m (86,110 sq.ft) of aluminum composite panels, and 9,000 sq.m (96,875 sq.ft) of perforated solid aluminum panels and more than 178,000 kg (392,420 lbs.) of steel works for substructure components, including connections, girts, studs and trusses.
