WEST BARAN SKYLIGHT

Baran Tower is a commercial and office building being built in Tehran, that is located on Shariati Street. It’s going to be a tall Tower, with 120 meters (394 feet) height with a cool-looking exterior. The plan is to have it all finished and ready to go by 2025, so it’s definitely something to look out for among the other buildings in the area.
In the finite element analysis of this skylight, a variety of loads have been considered. All kinds of dead loads caused by the asymmetry of glass installation, earthquakes, asymmetric wind load and snow loads, as well as loads caused by maintenance have been included in the design of this skylight. At the intersection of the steel frames, there are steel hubs carved from thick and strong steel. The geometry of the hubs and end angles is engineered to facilitate the creation of the final shape.

The western skylight of the Baran project consists of a single-layer structure with rigid connections, which is located on a steel surrounding ring.
